Contractor to meet costs after quality issue identified

Work to replace 20 metres of defective horse tram track on Douglas promenade is underway.

A website confirmed the section is currently being removed after a quality issue was identified earlier this year.

The problem was discovered in February, but workers had to wait until nearby traffic management had changed to tackle the fault.

The cost of the additional work is being met by the contractor.
