Journey to a Dream - Darryl Hill
In this episode we talk bikes, snooker and cats - not necessarily in that order. Our Journey to a Dream guest is true motorsport maestro Darryl Hill.Darryl wears many hats in the world of motorsport – he’s the Clerk of the Course for the Andreas Racing Association, a Deputy Sector Marshal on the Mountain Course for the TT and MGP and a key figure in UK motorcycle racing with clubs like Wirral 100. Impressively, he became one of the youngest Deputy Sector Marshals at just 18, having started marshaling at 16.But Darryl isn’t just about bikes and flags – he’s also one of the best snooker players the Isle of Man has ever seen, recently nominated alongside Dollin Mercer for the Sports Team of the Year award at the IOM Sports Awards. Oh, and did we mention he manages the Mann Cat Sanctuary? Talk about multitasking!Take a look at this video showing you behind the scenes at Jurby. What goes on in ARA Race Control? - Final Motorcycle Race Meeting at Jurby of 2024 - YouTubeIf you would like to contact the Andreas Racing Association - you can find them here.Journey to a Dream is brought to you by Kawasaki Insurance.
