Supersonic scientist behind big bang

Profesor Brian Cix has admitted he was responsible for a mystery "big bang" over the Island earlier this month.

Many people in the south reported hearing the loud noise during the early evening of Wednesday, September 16.

The popular television scientist says he was behind the bang as flew over the Island in a jet while filming.

On the last editiion of the BBC's One Show he explained more about what he'd been up to.
