The Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson has refused to endorse government's financial plan for the year ahead.
In Tynwald on Tuesday morning Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan revealed the details of the 2018 budget.Personal tax allowances will increase by £750 to £13,250, which government says will lift 1,700 people out of the tax net.
Other initiatives include some benefits increasing by an average of 3%, a new single-tier Manx state pension by April 2019, and priority budgeting for departments.
