Aim to help people rather than criminalise them

Ramsey MHK and GP Dr Alex Allinson says he hopes the medicinal cannabis and hemp consultations (which are shortly to get underway) will serve to help people rather than criminalise them, as is currently the case.

Laws around the world have been changing with regard to cannabis, with some countries now allowing recreational use.

What's currently proposed on the Island is the possible use of cannabis as a medicine.

Dr Allinson applauds the fresh approach.
