Save the Bay wants public to be kept informed

Campaign group Save the Bay is calling for more communication and clarity regarding plans for the Ramsey marina.

Details released via a freedom of information request show Ramsey Marina Limited is to enter initial negotiations over leasing the foreshore.

It's understood this discussion will be held with the Department of Infrastructure, which owns the land.

This member of Save the Bay says locals are being kept in the dark:

Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer says people will get the chance to put their points across and make their views known:

Manx Radio has been in contact with Ramsey Marina Limited, which has been "instructed as part of the government's procurement process, not to make any public statement at this time."

RML has asked us to pass on its thanks however for the "overwhelming messages of support that they continue to receive over their exciting proposals."
