Courthouse deal 'exciting' for Ramsey

The purchase of Ramsey Courthouse marks an 'exciting' point in history for the townsfolk.

That's according to Chief Minister Howard Quayle - he says he was confident there would be an agreement in principle by the Ramsey Commissioners to acquire it.

News of it comes after a protracted argument over whether the building should be retained by the town or sold privately.

Mr Quayle says he hopes there'll be similar success in Ramsey to that enjoyed by the people of Peel.
