Aborted TT World Series cost £276,000

More than £276,000 has been spent on looking into the TT World Series - which has now been shelved.

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly gave the figure in the House of Keys yesterday morning, when he faced questions from North Douglas MHK John Houghton.

Mr Skelly said he didn't feel the project was worth pursuing and that more work could be done on the Island-based event.

But the announcement sparked anger from Mr Houghton.
