It’s advantage Vagabonds B in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield.

They won the match of the day on Saturday and are now favourites to secure the title.

Tries from Arno Cruywagon and Jamie Cook sealed a fine 10-5 win over Douglas B.

Despite a try from Mark Magee, converted by Alex Long, Vagabonds held off the home side and are now in pole position to end their long wait for the championship.

Elsewhere, Ramsey B saw off battling Castletown 20-17, courtesy of tries from Mikey Craine, Fintan Cummins and Peter Richardson (two).

The southerners’ tally came from a Mike Williams try and a try, penalty and two conversions from John Forrest.

Emerging Nomads ran out 21-5 winners over Western Vikings.
