A New Zealand rider died during this afternoon’s Supersport race, it’s been confirmed.
The Auto Cycle Union says 39-year-old Paul Dobbs of Onewhero was killed in a racing incident at Ballagarey.
He was an experienced competitor who finished sixth in the 400 lightweight TT race in 2000, and first took part in the TT in 1999.
Mr Dobbs was married with two children, and the ACU has passed its deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
ACU chairman Jim Parker says Paul was a popular rider in the paddock, a great competitor and a very talented rider who had many friends in the racing community.
