Island player to lead out national side in Chile from next week
Manx hockey player, Sienna Dunn has been named as captain of the England Under-21's team heading to this year's Junior Women's World Cup.
The former Valkyrs player is one of 18 athletes that will represent the national side at this year's championships in Santiago, Chile from 1-13 December.
Dunn was also part of the England squad which finished fourth at the previous edition of the tournament in 2023 in the same country.
Speaking to England Hockey, the 2023 Isle of Man Under-21 Sportswoman of the Year says she's 'so excited' to be taking up the armband at the competition from next week:
England will compete in Pool D with South Africa, China and Austria with England's first match being against China on Tuesday, 2 December at 2.15pm UK time.
In total, the competition will be made up of 24 national teams across six pools.
