Cope finishes second in RS Tera World Championship

Five Manx sailors compete in Sweden

Fourteen-year-old Peter Cope put in an exceptional performance to finish second overall in the RS Tera World Championship.

He won two of the 11-race series in Sweden, which featured four others from the Manx Youth Sailing Squad.

Teddy Dunn also picked up two wins at the event to seal a fourth-place finish overall in the Pro fleet, with Georgia Harding in 21st.

In the Sport fleet, 11-year-old Archie Dunn was 13th out of 54, while newcomer Amelie Harding was competing at a mahor regatta for the first time.

The Manx contingent placed on record their thanks to sponsors FIM Capital, Appleby Global, RL360 and Isle of Man Steam Packet; as well as all the coaches at 7th Wave in Port Erin.
