Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly has denied his department ruled out the TT Grandstand as a polling station for next week’s North Douglas by-election.
This morning during House of Key questions, North Douglas MHK John Houghton asked why permission had been refused to use the building for casting votes.
But Mr Skelly said the decision not to use the site had been made by the returning officer, not his department.
And he said there were reasons it was thought unsuitable:
Isle of Man inflation eases slightly to 2.8% in October
