Minister admits infrastructure is not in place to digitise process within this administration
It costs the Department of Infrastructure around £7,500 each month to produce car tax discs, according to the infrastructure minister.
Michelle Haywood was asked whether her department had plans to digitise the process in the House of Keys this week.
It's after a recent Freedom of Information request revealed it's cost £650,000 to produce them for the past five years.
Despite acknowledging the cost, Dr Haywood said it was very unlikely any changes would be made during this administration:
