Move is part of an optimisation programme and won't result in job losses
PokerStars has surrendered its licence with the Isle of Man's Gambling Supervision Commission.
But, its parent company insists it won't impact customers or employment levels on the Island.
The GSC's website shows the licence, which was in the name of Rational Entertainment Enterprises Limited, ended on 8 March, having been held for almost 20 years.
In a statement issued to Manx Radio, a Flutter spokesperson confirmed the move comes as part of an ongoing programme to optimise PokerStars' operating model, and it's been decided the Isle of Man B2B licence is no longer needed.
It goes on to say "this decision has no impact on our colleagues on the Isle of Man, while players will continue to play under the UK B2C licence as they do today and will not experience any changes."
PokerStars says it has found the Isle of Man regulatory relationship "constructive and mutually beneficial over the years."
PokerStars' headquarters have been situated in Onchan since 2005, while it holds licences with a number of jurisdictions.
