Hopes to build permanent clubhouse at Ballakilley Park
Plans have been submitted to build a new 'community facility' in the Port Erin area largely aimed at developing sport in the region.
SPort Erin says it's applying for permission to build a permanent clubhouse to replace temporary structures at Ballakilley Playing Fields, the home of Southern Nomads RUFC.
If approved, those behind the proposals hope to include toilet and changing facilities along with what they describe as a new 'club room space' for use by different groups and organisations.
SPorts Erin trustee Dave Parkes says it would not just be centred around rugby, however it would come at a significant cost if the concept was to go ahead:
Reopening of Martin Ward delayed following further safety checks
Major reservoir projects completed on time and on budget
Law Society responds to 'anecdotal' reports of conveyancing log-jam
Repair scheme an 'antidote to throwaway culture'
