Daughter of former Angolan president uncovered as owner of Kensington house
An 'anonymous company' on the Isle of Man has reportedly helped one of Africa's richest women aquire a mansion in London worth up to £13 million.
According to an investigation for the Times, Isabel dos Santos, daughter of the former president of Angola Jose Eduardo dos Santos, has bought a multi-million pound property in Kensington.
Findings by Finance Uncovered, a group of investigative journalists, claim she was able to purchase her new home without a mortgage using a Manx entity.
Known as 'princess' by many in her home country, Mrs dos Santos is believed to have a net worth of £2billion.
A representative says she has made 'transparent' investments in diamonds, banking and telecoms.
Plans for her four-storey house include a hot tub, swimming pool, massage room and wine cellar.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Global Witness, an anti-corruption NGO, claims the London acquisition raises 'all the red flags for corruption risk.'
It has question the legitimacy of Mr dos Santos' wealth calling for a seizure and investigation by National Crime Agency.
