Seal pups often rest on beaches after stormy weather
If you see a seal pup resting on one of the Island's beaches, keep your distance and let it rest.
That's the message from the Manx Wildlife Trust following the recent gales.
The charity says young seals do head to land to rest following stormy conditions like those seen earlier this week.
The seals should return to the sea once they've had a break from the waves.
These stormy conditions can tire out seal pups and they will haul up on beaches to rest awhile. If uninjured, please leave them be, they are just taking a break from the waves and will return when ready. Please keep your distance and keep dogs on leads. If in doubt contact MWT.
