Manx contractors have been involved in challenging work to repair part of the MEA Subsea cable.
It was installed in 2000 between Bispham near Blackpool and Douglas.
A 65 metre section on the United Kingdom side became exposed after some severe weather.
Paul Carey and Son were asked to assist with the work, which had to be carried out at specific times in darkness.
The new pipes also had to be fitted around cables submerged in water while the power was still on.
MEA Chief Executive, Ashton Lewis, says Bispham Beach is a constantly changing environment, and routine monitoring of the area will continue.
