Against the backdrop of continuing gloomy financial news, an Isle of Man-based bank has announced 18 new jobs.
They are in HSBC's International Ex-patriate Business branch, and will be based in Ridgeway Street, Douglas.
The posts are being switched from Jersey and mainly local staff will be recruited.
Area Manager Mike Hennessy told Marian Kenny the Isle of Man was seen as the best location for the expansion:
