Small business in knee-deep demand
A small business owner from Laxey says logistics and long hours after December's floods helped him reach customers in crisis.
Self-employed Andrew Oldham who runs a fire and flood restoration business, found himself beseiged with calls from home owners and insurance firms alike, after Storm Desmond hit.
From 4th December until Christmas, he criss-crossed the Island helping to make the worst-hit properties habitable again.
He took 30 calls within 12 hours of the flooding - a tall order, which saw his stock of dehumidifiers and drying equipment in demand like never before.
Andrew, who runs Cottage to Castle Cleaning from Isle of Man Business Park, says it was a massive challenge for a small firm:
