Robin Nolan brings George Harrison’s Music to Isle of Man after his Dark Horse Records release
More Information (Manx Radio is not responsible for external websites)
Following the release of his acclaimed album For The Love of George on Dark Horse Records, guitarist Robin Nolan brings his new live show to Erin Arts Centre, Isle of Man on Saturday 23rd May, celebrating the music of George Harrison and The Beatles.
The album was recorded at Harrison’s home, Friar Park, and created with the support of the Harrison family. Featuring performances on George Harrison’s own guitars, the project offers a rare and deeply personal connection to the late Beatle’s musical world.
Now as part of a major UK wide tour, Nolan brings that project to the Erin Arts Centre stage in a dynamic live setting, blending Harrison’s iconic songs with his signature gypsy jazz style, alongside select original compositions and Django Reinhardt-inspired material.
Recognised as one of the leading figures in modern gypsy jazz, Nolan has performed at major venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Montreux Jazz Festival, and was personally invited by Harrison to play at Friar Park.
The trio features internationally acclaimed musicians Chris Quinn and Tom Moore, delivering a fresh, melodic and highly accessible take on Harrison’s catalogue — from well-loved Beatles songs to deeper cuts.
