James Proudfoot

James is Manx born and bred. He started in radio at 17 and never quite escaped, picking up 25 years of TV experience along the way; including years spent travelling the world filming motorsport for Greenlight TV, who somehow trusted him to film fast bikes, fast cars and work to even faster deadlines. He can also be found up on the Grandstand during TT week, producing Radio TT as part of the team that brings the event to the listeners.

A proud Middlesbrough supporter and unapologetic fan of 80s and 90s music, with a soft spot for late 90s dance classics. James balances football heartbreak with nostalgic bangers, he loves horror films, British crime Dramas and listening to a good sports podcast. At home, his dog Nigel provides occasional supervision and frequent distraction. When he’s not working, James enjoys getting out for the odd run , not a fitness freak, just someone who likes a bit of fresh air and headspace.
