VC of OFT defends decision to resign

The Vice Chairman of the Office of Fair Trading has defended his decision to resign.

Chris Thomas stood down from his position last week, after a recent policy decision on voluntary gas regulation.

He says the decision, which he opposes, puts him at odds with the Council of Minsters.

He told James Davis on Mandate on Monday morning he stands by his decision to give up the post.
