Vagabonds B back with a bang

Vagabonds B restated their championship credentials with a 45-3 win over Douglas B.

Vagas led 17-3 at half-time after tries from Jay Kruger, Jo Louw and Ean Mousley, plus a conversion from Danny Williams.

Douglas’ only points came courtesy of a penalty from Gareth Hooson-Owen.

Vagas cut loose in the second half and ran out comfortable winners with scores from Kruger, Chris Quayle, Daryn Thompson, and Mousley, all converted by Danny Williams.

Despite Vagas’ win, Southern Nomads retained their position at the top of the table with a 29-13 win over the Emerging Nomads.

Martin Jones, James Hammal, Tom Duggan, Andy Lean and Rob Keelan all scored tries for Nomads with two conversions coming from the boot of Al Corrin.

Damian Brand and Hugo McKenzie crossed for Emerging Nomads and Dave Edge bagged a penalty to make up the total.

Ramsey B moved into second place with a 41-3 win over Castletown at Mooragh Park.

Ramsey led 19-3 at half time with tries from Matt Cheeseman, Darren Ideson and Davide Mazzone, plus two conversions from Ideson.

Sam Peel kicked a penalty for Town to give them some hope for the second half.

Ramsey sealed the game after the break when skipper Ideson poached his second try and there were additional tries from Chris Penketh, Michael Craine and Ben Harding, plus another Ideson conversion.
