TT Qualifying: Hickman back at the top of the leaderboard

Lap record holder a hair ahead of Dean Harrison

Peter Hickman made his way back to the top of the qualifying leaderboard last night with a lap of 131.957mph.

That's ahead of Dean Harrison by just 1.9 seconds.

Michael Dunlop and Paul Jordan topped the Superstock and Supersport standings respectively.

Ben and Tom Birchall were the quickest Sidecar pairing, the Nottinghamshire brothers lapping at 116.825mph.

Newcomer Glenn Irwin came fifth in the Superstock class at 125.447mph, another best for the Honda Racing UK runner.

Last night's session ended early after a red flag incident at Ballagarey shortly after 8pm.

It involved Welsh rider Mark Purslow, riding number 70 in the Supersport Class, who was killed in the incident.

The Isle of Man TT Races have passed on their deepest sympathy to Mark’s family, friends, and loved ones.
