TT announces 2023 sidecar top-10

This year marks 100 years since sidecars began on Mountain Course

TT organisers have today confirmed the top 10 sidecar teams to start the class at this year's races.

This year is a poignant one for the three-wheel machines as 2023 marks 100 years since sidecars first competed on the Snaefell Mountain Course.

Away at no.1 once again this year are Ben and Tom Birchall who're undefeated on Manx shores since 2016.

There's change in behind them with Peter Founds and Jevan Walmsley at no.2 with local pairing Ryan and Callum Crowe moving up to no.3 after they secured their first sidecar podium last year.

Meanwhile, 17-time TT winner Dave Molyneux retains his position at no.4 with Dan Sayle as his passenger.

At no.6, John Holden makes a TT return after withdrawing from last year's event, he's partnered by Maxime Vasseur.

Elsewhere, the returning Alan Founds and Jake Lowther return to the mix at no.7, whilst 2022's fastest newcomer, Lee Crawford, is rewarded with a seeded position at no.9.

The 2023 Isle of Man TT Races are scheduled to take place from Monday, 29 May to Saturday, 10 June.
