Andrew and Clara Issac crowned winners

Andrew Isaac and Clara Isaac were crowned winners at the 1886 Isle of Man Triathlon Championship event in Ramsey.

The event saw competitors challenged with a 1500m swim, 40km cycle and 10k run on Sunday (8 August).

The cycle course brought the competitors out to Bride on the coastal road, then through Andreas and finally back to Ramsey, whereas the run and swim was in Mooragh Park.

Andrew claimed overall victory in the standard race with a time of one hour 58 minutes and three seconds, with Charlie Swayles behind by over two minutes.

Also in the standard race, Clara's time of two hours 24 minutes and 38 seconds was enough to see her finish first in the women's category, ahead of Caitlin Gelder and Wiktoria Maliszak in second and third respectively.

Elsewhere, Harry Kinley won the 750m swim sprint triathlon while Emily Mylchreest finished top in the 400m swim sprint triathlon.
