Mark Cavendish finished in a big group some four-and-a-half minutes behind the leaders at the Tour of Flanders in Belgium today (Sunday).
The Manx Missile had been involved in a 15-man break earlier on, but eventually came 110th in a race that was won by Saxo Bank's Nick Nuyens.
The Belgian beat Sylvain Chavanel and Swiss star Fabian Cancellara, bidding for a second consecutive Tour of Flanders victory, in a sprint for the line.
New Island resident and Team Sky colleague of Peter Kennaugh, Ben Swift, finished just behind Cav in 111th.
