Tennis players set to battle it out in Vets Champs final

IOM Junior Champs follow next week

The Island's tennis scene has bounced back from lockdown with the ferocity of a ball after being whacked by Serena Williams.

Competitions are aplenty for any and all to get involved in.

Next week is the Isle of Man Junior Championships, for everyone from U8s to U18s. 

The comp is on from 1-6 September at Kensington Road - deadline for entries is 8pm Saturday 29.

Those who don't quite make the cut for that age group are being invited to enter an Island Games fundraiser instead. 

The doubles tournament is called Wimbledon 80 and it's on 4 Sept at the Albany tennis club to raise money for the next Games in Guernsey.

Dress code is retro white.

And to top it all off, tomorrow (Sat 29) is the final of the Vets Over-30 championships.
