Manx competitor also takes gold at GB junior international
Young Isle of Man shooting competitor Kathryn Holden has set a new Manx record.
The Island athlete set a new benchmark in the women's air pistol of 551 whilst taking part in the British Pistol Club meeting in Bisley, Woking on Sunday, 4 August.
Her score in the 10m Air Pistol Open saw the Island competitor finish fifth overall in the standings.
Furthermore, Holden also claimed a gold medal last week at the National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA) GB Junior International, also in Bisley.
She took top spot in the women's target sprint event in a time of four minutes, 51 seconds.
Joint-second on five minutes, eleven seconds were Penny Flett of the Scotland-based STS team and Gretchin du Plessis of South African squad SANSSU.
Last year, Holden also represented the Isle of Man in the women's 10m air pistol events at the 2023 Island Games in Guernsey.
She claimed bronze in the individual competition and claimed team bronze alongside Blae Richardson.
