Saracens clinch title with draw

Vikings drop to third after stalemate

Saracens Colts picked up the point they needed in last night's clash with Vikings Colts to bring to a close championship-winning third tier season.

The match was played under the lights at King William's College and Vikings knew only a win would do if they were to snatch the title away from hosts Saracens.

Archie Caley netted for Vikings but it was Sophie Howland's goal which ensured the trophy went to Saracens.

At the NSC in Douglas, Matt Davin scored his 33rd goal of the season as Harlequins Colts ended their campaign with a comfortable victory over Castletown Southerners.

Pete Nuttall broke the deadlock with James Arnold adding a second.

Davin's strike completed the scoring as Quins ran out 3-0 winners.

That result compounded what was a disappointing night for Vikings, who not only missed out on the league title, but also drop a place to finish the season in third.

They were leapfrogged by Harlequins due to their superior goal difference.
