Ryan Kneen won't take part in road racing this year

Manxman says finances are main factor in decision

Manx TT rider, Ryan Kneen has announced he won't be taking part in road racing in 2023.

In a post on social media, Kneen says money has been the main factor in the decision, saying he would need '£50,000 minimum' to build a new competitive machine and get into the TT.

However, he adds he's 'happy to leave it where I finished in my last race around the TT course'.

Kneen's last outing on the Snaefell Mountain Course was in the 2022 Manx Grand Prix Classic Superbike race on 29 August last year.

It was a strong performance which saw him finish just outside the podium places in fourth on the Herheim Racing Kawasaki ZX-R750 with an average speed of 120.689mph.
