Rugby players complete 'cycle to Guernsey' fundraiser

Money being split between Vagas and Wooden Spoon IOM

Two rugby players have 'cycled to Guernsey' to raise funds for their club after Covid left them unable to compete this season.

Lauren Ellison and Julia Harrison play for Vagabond's Ladies RUFC - the only women's rugby team on the Island.

Together, they rode the equivalent 341 miles to the Channel Island around the outer NSC track over four days (85.25 miles per day), raising more than £1,500 in the process.

The money is being split between the club, to help develop young female players, and Wooden Spoon IOM - which supports children and young people with disabilities or living in disadvantage.

If you'd like to donate to Lauren and Julia, you can do so here.
