Franklin and Lockley take women's and men's titles
Morning has broken and with it, two long-standing records.
Manx runners Rachael Franklin and Ollie Lockley both smashed the previous records for the Peel to Douglas Trail Race earlier today.
Lockley beat Kevin Loundes record by 4 minutes 49 seconds, finishing the ten-mile course in 52 minutes 40 seconds.
Franklin completed the race in 59 minutes 44 seconds, obliterating the former record, held by Sarah Webster, by 6 minutes 22 seconds.
Thirty-seven athletes entered the event, running in, what have been described as, perfect conditions this morning.
