But manager warns against complacency and calls for focus

An in-form FC Isle of Man could set a new club record winning streak should they take maximum points in the NWCFL Premier Division.

On the back of six straight victories 'The Ravens' head to Pilkington on Saturday afternoon (23 November) with kick-off at the PSD Stadium scheduled for 2pm.

Whilst the visiting Island side currently sit fifth in the table in the promotion play-off spots, their latest hosts lie in 22nd place just four points above the relegation zone.

Despite the gap in the standings between the sides, FC Isle of Man manager Paul Jones warns there can be no complacency from his players about the challenge in front of them:

Last weekend's comeback victory at home to Burscough saw FC Isle of Man manage a six-match winning run for only the third time since their debut season in 2021/22.

What's more, Paul Jones' sides current 100 per cent record over their last six outings means they remain the top form side in the division over the last six fixtures.

However, St Helens has not been a happy hunting ground so far for the Manx outfit.

In their two visits to the town so far they lost to this weekend's opponents 3-1 last season in September 2023 and were narrowly beaten in a 5-4 thriller this campaign against newly-promoted FC St Helens on 13 August this year.

Meanwhile - after a strong run last season in this division following promotion from NWCFL Division One North - it's been a tougher start so far for Jack Edwards' Pilkington who have four wins from their 22 league outings so far.

They currently sit four points above the relegation zone, but their two victories in their last six have come against Colne and Prestwich Heys in the positions below them.

There other two wins so far in the league this campaign were away at Litherland REMYCA (31 August) and at home against Charnock Richard (28 September).

FC Isle of Man team news

Despite seeing a number of players struggling with minor issues in last week's win over Burscough, Paul Jones is forced into very little change from last weekend.

Alex Maitland - who was subbed at half-time against Burscough with a minor knock - is not fit for this latest trip and is replaced by fellow defender Jamie Corlett.

Elsewhere, Dan Hattersley drops out but Dean Pinnington and Kyle Watson - who were both managing niggles against Burscough - are fit enough to be included for the trip to St Helens.
