O’Shaughnessy Set for Dinner

Lancashire legend Steve O’Shaughnessy will be the guest speaker at the Annual Dinner of the IOM Cricket Association. He scored over 3,700 first class runs and took 114 wickets. His one day record was nearly 3,000 runs and 115 wickets.

In 1983 he hit a memorable century against Leicestershire in only 35 minutes. This broke the previous record for the fastest hundred made by Percy Fender in 1920. After leaving Lancashire, Steve played for Worcestershire and then spent nine years with Cumbria. He is now an Umpire.

The Dinner and Prize Presentation will be held at the Empress Hotel on Friday 12th November. Tickets are available from secretary Sue Davidson or all club captains.
