Old Boys and Michael reach semi-finals

Old Boys and Michael booked their place in the Cu Plas FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday.

A second half Craig Stewart goal earned Old Boys victory at Ramsey in a close contest, while Michael United thrashed Ayre United 5-1.

A Jamie Moffitt hat-trick and goals from Chris Hancox and player-manager Nick Hurt sealed victory for the westerners.

The other two quarter-finals were postponed.

In CFS Division Two, Marown stay in third after thrashing Foxdale 9-1, in a match played at Crosby.

Kenny Magee was the star of the show with SEVEN. He was joined on the scoresheet by Gavin Brew and Ricky Lovett.

Marown were 7-1 up at the break.

Three goals inside the opening eight minutes ensured Pulrose stay in fourth by defeating fifth placed, Ramsey Youth Centre.

Two from Mark Walmsley and one from Adam Stoy sealed the points in a 3-1 victory.

Tony Rodgers was the hero as bottom club Ronaldsway clinched their first win of the season.

He hit a hat-trick in a 5-3 success at Douglas and District, whose goals were scored by Richard Brand (two) and Jamie Corrin.

Douglas Royal’s return to form continued with a 6-5 victory at Onchan.

In a topsy-turvy goal-fest, Michael Spencer netted a hat-trick for Onchan with Paul Shimmin and Daniel Bentham getting the others.
