Neil is sporting supremo

Parsons clinches Manx title

Neil Parsons was the winner of the Manx Sporting Championship at Ayre Clay Target Club’s Blue Point range.

He gained the highest score of all shooters on Sunday, including those who shot targets only, scoring 83 out of 100.

Alan Kinrade was second with Martin Kneen taking third place, while Jake Brew claimed the junior prize and topped class B.

Kevin Oates and Fred Waggett were the winners of A class and C class respectively.

This week at Blue Point is the Olympic Trap Manx Championship over two days, sponsored by Sadler Agricultural Supplies.  Saturday’s entries close at 12.30pm and Sunday’s entries close at 10.15am.

There is also a 50/100 target English Skeet competition on Sunday, sponsored by Penketh-Millar Architectural Design.
