Museum celebrates the Manx Olympic dream

Exhibition showcases Island's success at the games over the years

With just over a month until this year's Olympics get underway in Paris, a new exhibition has been unveiled celebrating the role the Isle of Man has played in the games over the years.

'Manx Olympians' at the Manx Museum in Douglas is showcasing the Island's past participation in the event as well as offering a nod to some of the potential local stars of the future.

The experience pays homage to the likes of cyclists Sir Mark Cavendish and Peter Kennaugh; snowboarder Zoe Gillings-Brier and shooting competitor Tim Kneale.

The exhibition is open until February next year - admission is free but donations are welcome.
