
A double Olympic gold medallist has told Manx athletes that to compete at the highest level involves huge determination and dedication.
Dame Kelly Holmes spoke to more than 100 of the Island's most talented sportsmen and women yesterday in the final mentoring session of her sports education programme this year.
She's on the Island along with a line-up of Olympians and other top athletes from the UK, who've been giving training master-classes in their respective sports at the National Sports Centre.
Dame Kelly used the occasion to announce the initiative which bears her name is to be extended for another year.
She told Manx Radio her training regime at her peak was demanding and rewarding in equal measure:
