Brandon Cain suffers punctured lung but is on mend
One of the Island's most promising snowboarders has had his season cut short after getting injured during the recent Valmalenco Europa Cup in Italy.
Brandon Cain had just returned to competing after time off following a broken humerus in November when he hit a net at high speed during training for the Snowboard Cross.
It resulted in concussion, three broken ribs, a punctured lung, and internal bleeding.
This week, Cain released an update on his Facebook page saying he's taking a lot of time off before starting rehab for next season.
The post reads:
'As it stands right now my lung is feeling good, started exercise again this week and hopefully heading up snowboarding again some time in the coming week for a chill ride.
Feeling good and positive for the future, and looking forward to big changes this summer leading into next season with @gbsnowsport.
The Manx boarder finished by thanking everyone for their kind messages and support.
