Lib Van candidate in northern constituency

The Liberal Vannin Party has named its candidate in Ramsey for next month's general election.

Linda Bowers-Kasch is a member of the Isle of Man Employment Tribunal panel, and the Institute of Directors.

Mrs Bowers-Kasch says the Isle of Man has provided her with opportunities to succeed, and build skills and experience, and believes she is well equipped to serve Ramsey and the Island at both local and global levels.

The former vice president of Barclays Wealth says 'more of the same' won't be good enough for the future of the Island, and stresses the need to reduce financial waste, drive value for money and increase its credibility and influence externally.

She also thinks younger people in the Isle of Man need to feel included and have an opportunity to grow and flourish.

A total of five candidates are currently contesting the two seats in Ramsey.

The others are sitting members Allan Bell and Anne Craine, and challengers John McDonough and Leonard Singer.
