Letch sixth in British Championships

A small group of airgun shooters travelled to the British Airgun Championships at Bisley in Surrey at the weekend.

On Saturday, Island Games individual bronze medallist Danielle Letch had a great shoot and entered the Olympic final in the sixth place, with a score of 353. Despite being very nervous, Danielle shot a very steady and consistent final and managed to maintain her sixth place.

It was a good start to the year for Danielle, who is on the short-list for the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune later this year.

On Sunday rifle shooter Greg Hogg shot 531 out of a possible 600 and finished ninth overall in the junior men's competition. Only the first eight go through, so the 15 year old
Ramsey Grammar School pupil just missed out on progressing to the final.

In the senior men's championship, Craig Glover finished 14th with a score of 560.

The trio will be in action again at the Isle of Man Easter Shooting Festival.
