It was a very good day for the Manx sides competing in the north west leagues on Saturday.

 

Douglas sealed an impressive bonus point win in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One.

 

Five tries - James Wood (two), Steve Tantsell (two) and Paul Levers – and 15 points from the boot of Luke Hyland secured a 40-20 victory over Anselmians.

 

In Cheshire (South), Ramsey ran out convincing 47-5 winners over Congleton.

 

Two first half tries from John F. Watling set them on their way as the home side led 26-0 at the break.

 

Henry Lord, Ethan Benjamin and three conversions from Andy Cleator secured the bonus point in good time.

 

After the break, Mikey Craine (two), Steve Cleator and another three conversions from Andy Cleator rounded off the scoring.

 

Vagabonds thrashed Ashton on Mersey 77-5 at Ballafletcher to clinch their first victory of the season.
