Report by Ben Cunningham:
In the Mixed Premier League, Bacchas A who kept their perfect start by beating the current Champions Valkyrs A midweek in an eight-goal thriller play Castletown Celts who will hope they can possibly end their opponents perfect record.
Vikings A who sit just two points behind league leaders Bacchas A play Valkyrs A who will want to get back to winning way this weekend.
Elsewhere Harlequins A meet Bacchas B - when these two met in the league first time around it was a narrow victory for Harlequins could this happen again? Finally, Valkyrs B - who are still bottom of the league - play Vikings B who will be hoping to keep up their good form for the remaining fixtures.
In Mixed Division One, Ramsey A - who will be wanting to finish the remainder of the season in the good form they have had over recent weeks - meet league leaders Bacchas C who know they need to keep winning.
Castletown Southerners who just sit behind Bacchas C and are ready to capitalise on any mistake play Valkyrs C who did hold the league leaders to draw last time out, could they cause an upset and do it again this weekend to Southerners?
Finally there is a club derby between Vikings C and Vikings D, with both teams desperate for points this is a big game for both sides.
In Mixed Division Two, Bacchas Colts meet Valkyrs D for the second weekend in a row - last weekend they met in the semi finals of the cup competition with Valkyrs taking the victory on penalty flicks and I’m sure they will hope this is a sign of them getting league points on the cards in the remaining fixtures left for them before Christmas.
There is a club derby between Castletown Cammags and Castletown Cushags which I’m sure will be a entertaining game; finally leaders Harlequins B - who have been really strong defensively and going forward - play Ramsey Ravens who will be hoping they can keep Harlequins front line out from scoring.
In Mixed Division Three, league leaders Castletown Cosney play Bacchas C with Castletown hoping they can keep their perfect record going; Ramsey Rookies welcome Castletown Carrick who will hope they can get the better of the northerners and take the win back south with them; finally, Harlequins C play the youthful Vikings E in what will be a entertaining game between these two sides.
In the Mixed U15’s League Bacchas meet Castletown Sharks; Ramsey play Vikings and Valkyrs meet Castletown Sabres.
This league yet again looks to be just as entertaining as it was last year with lots of young Manx talent coming through all the junior teams from each club.
