18-strong squad heading to Nottingham this weekend
The Isle of Man men's national hockey squad are set to compete in the annual England Hockey County Championships this weekend.
The 18-strong Manx side are once again contesting the top tier 'A Division' at Nottingham Hockey Centre on Saturday and Sunday (18-19 May).
There they will take on strong English county sides in Kent, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire in their pool.
Winners and runners-up in each pool will qualify for the semi-finals on the Sunday with third and fourth place to face off in the relegation play-offs.
Captained by Jamie Brown, the Isle of Man squad also features several under-18's players who will make their debut in Rhyse Williams, Archie Cox, Kian Ledwidge, Alex Andrew and Josh Dougal.
It'll also be maiden appearances at the championships for Harry Woods and Oscar Lace.
