Hockey: First round of mixed cup competitions await

Cup, Plate & Bowl tournaments to get underway

In the Mixed Cup, Ramsey A who will be hoping to have a good cup run face a tough challenge when they meet Vikings A who are currently the premier league leaders on goal difference. 

Bacchas B who are also like Ramsey looking for their first win of the season play Valkyrs A who have had a great start to their season in the league and Vikings B play Bacchas A in what looks to be a close game with Vikings B proving they won’t be pushed aside easily and Bacchas scoring plenty of goals. 

Finally Castletown Celts meet Harlequins A these two have met already in the league and Castletown came out on top so Harlequins will be hoping they can turn things around this time. 

In the Mixed Plate, Vikings C who have had a mix of results lately meet Castletown Southerners who have been in great form and will defiantly be wanting to go all the way to the final. 

Bacchas C play Valkyrs B in what looks be a close match however Valkyrs B come into this game having had the better start to the season. 

Valkyrs C and Castletown Cammags both have bye’s into the next round. 

In the Mixed Bowl, Castletown Cushags play Valkyrs D in what looks a close match that could come down to just a goal between the two sides as they have had the same start in the league as each other. 

Elsewhere another close match that possibility could go to penalty flicks is Bacchas Colts playing Harlequins B both these two sides look really evenly matched. 

Finally we have a club derby between Vikings D who are flying high at the top of their division and Vikings E who are having a mix of results. 

Ramsey Ravens have a bye into the next round.

Finally in mixed U15’s league, Harlequins play Castletown Sabres, Castletown Sharks play Bacchas A, Valkyrs play Vikings and Ramsey Rogues and Rascals play Bacchas B .
