Guernsey remains hopeful about 2021 Island Games

The Isle of Man team is led out at the 2019 Games in Gibraltar

Preparations for event continue despite coronavirus lockdown

The organisers of the 2021 NatWest Island Games say they're keeping their fingers crossed the event will be able to go ahead as planned in July next year.

The Guernsey 2021 Committee has issued an update on the progress being made, despite the current coronavirus lockdown and its associated restrictions.

It says its dedicated team of organisers - who are currently working remotely - is already well advanced with its preparations.

There's been a postponement of the International Island Games Association's AGM, which had been due to take place on the Channel Island in July, but the Guernsey 2021 Committee is said to be in regular contact with the IIGA's Executive Committee.
