Golf: Manx players contest County Champions events

Three players face top English competitors over two weekends in Lincolnshire

A selection of Manx golfers put their skills to the test against some of the best in England over the last two weekends.

The Isle of Man's Island champion competitors were invited to the annual Champion of Champions events held at Woodhall Spa Golf Club in Lincolnshire on 7-8 September as well as 14-15 September.

The first weekend saw Rowany's Diane Neale finish in 25th place on 38-over-par in the women's seniors tournament.

2024 Manx women's champion Emma Noon was unable to take part in the women's county competition due to illness.

Meanwhile, weekend two saw this year's Isle of Man men's champion Robert Noon and Keith Ward contest the Men's County and Senior Men's events respectively.

Noon would go on to record seven-over-par to tie for 17th spot in his match whilst Ward ended the two rounds in 20th place on 17-over-par.
